पश्चिम बंगाल सरकार राज्य के सरकारी और सहायता प्राप्त स्कूलों के विद्यार्थियों को निःशुल्क यूनिफॉर्म और पाठ्यपुस्तकें प्रदान करती है। इसका उद्देश्य है गरीब और वंचित वर्ग के बच्चों को शिक्षा के लिए समान अवसर देना और ड्रॉप-आउट दर को कम करना।
